Residential Design

Course Description
  • You will learn how to apply for a building permit from the City. This class is designed for a non-licensed person and does not require experience. After learning this class, you are capable to prepare for a complete building permit set for a remodeling project or an addition project. This class will tour you step by step, starting from getting information from City Planning Department, being familiar with regulations from City Building Department, to applying all requirements to a plan set through AutoCAD software.

• People who have previous Auto-CAD experience
• People who are in the real estate, architecture, or housing industry

Instructor:

California licensed Architect with over 10 years experience in Architectural design and construction of remodeling, single families, multi-families, and commercial buildings. Experience and knowledge in using AutoCAD software for over 10 years, guide you to perform a complete permit set including site plan, floor plan, elevations, structural framing plans, electrical plans and etc. Master degree from Penn State University. Know-How to complete a project starting from programming, design formation, to construction documents combining structural, electrical, mechanical, and energy calculation components.
